Frequently Asked Questions

How we work with you, the questions clients and accounting-firm partners ask most before getting started.

What does GCD Global Consultants do?
+

We are an India-based, professionally qualified firm providing offshore accounting, tax, audit-support and advisory services to businesses and accounting practices across the USA, UK, UAE and India. Established in 2013, we act as a white-label back office and cross-border compliance partner, from bookkeeping and tax returns to Virtual CFO, business setup and Global Capability Centre support.

Do you work with accounting firms, or directly with businesses?
+

Both, and it varies by market. Across the USA, UK and UAE we provide white-label back-office capacity for accounting, tax and CPA/ACCA/CA firms under their brand, and outsourced finance and compliance support for businesses. In India we work directly with Indian business houses as their Chartered Accountants, they are our own clients, for whom we handle accounting, GST, income tax, ROC, audit and FEMA end-to-end. Where the same group also has entities in the US, UK or UAE, we handle their foreign-entity compliance too, so one team covers the entire group.

How does white-label outsourcing actually work?
+

We work as your extended team. You keep the client relationship and the final sign-off; we do the preparation and heavy lifting behind your brand. Your clients deal with you, our work is delivered in your templates and standards, and our involvement stays invisible to them.

Which countries and jurisdictions do you cover?
+

We work across the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and India, including the cross-border points where they meet, such as US–India and UK–India tax, UAE structuring, treaty relief and entity setup.

How do we get started?
+

It begins with a short discovery call to understand your needs, followed by a written scope and quote. Once agreed, we set up secure access, for example, an invited-accountant login to your Xero, QuickBooks or Zoho Books (or secure access to your Tally data), a shared encrypted folder for documents, and an agreed channel such as email, Teams or Slack. We then run a small first cycle so you can judge the fit on real work: a UK firm might hand us one client’s Self Assessment or a CT600; a US firm a handful of 1040s or a bookkeeping catch-up; an Indian business one month’s books plus that month’s GST returns. You review the output, we refine to your standards, and only then do we scale to the full portfolio or ongoing engagement.

Can we start small before committing?
+

Yes. Most clients begin with a single service line, a pilot batch or a one-month trial. There are no rigid lock-ins, you scale the engagement up or down as your needs change.

How do you price your services?
+

Pricing is engagement-based and depends on scope and volume, we work on hourly rates, fixed monthly retainers, or per-return and per-task pricing. We agree the model and a clear estimate in writing before any work begins.

Are there long-term contracts or lock-ins?
+

No rigid tie-ins. Engagements are flexible and scalable, and our model is built around long-term relationships earned through quality, reflected in our roughly 90% client-retention rate, rather than contractual lock-ins.

How do time zones and turnaround work?
+

Our India base is an advantage: work handed over at the end of your day is often completed by the next morning. Our hours overlap comfortably with the UK, UAE and US working day for calls and reviews, giving you an effective overnight turnaround.

What software and tools do you work in?
+

We work inside your existing systems, Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Tally Prime, Zoho Books and others, plus jurisdiction-specific tax software, or we help you choose and migrate. You stay on your stack; we adapt to it.

How do we share documents and communicate?
+

Through secure document-exchange portals and agreed communication channels, with defined points of contact and turnaround expectations. We fit into your workflow rather than imposing ours.

How do you keep our data secure and confidential?
+

Through secure file exchange, strict access controls and signed confidentiality and data-processing agreements, aligned with the applicable regimes, India’s DPDP Act, UK and EU GDPR, the UAE PDPL and, for US tax work, IRC §7216. Only authorised team members ever access your data.

Who does the work, and how is quality maintained?
+

A dedicated, trained team handles your engagement under professional supervision, with a structured review layer before anything reaches you. Our focus is review-grade quality on complex work, not commoditised processing.

Do you sign off on filings and audits?
+

We prepare to a review-ready standard; final sign-off and regulated filing stay with the licensed professional who owns the client, your firm, or the entity’s appointed auditor or tax agent. For India engagements taken on directly, our own Chartered Accountants sign where we are formally engaged to do so.
